Fourth International Light Metals Technology Conference 2009

LMT2009 was held from Sunday 28th June to Wednesday 1st July 2009 at the Sofitel Gold Coast on Broadbeach Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

According to one LMT delegate, "This conference can not be improved, this was the best conference there ever was!"

The 4th International Conference on Light Metals Technology - LMT2009 - hosted specialists interested in all aspects of light metals research and its application to a three-day symposium in the beautiful Sofitel, Broadbeach, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The conference started with a cocktail reception at 6pm on Sunday night (28th June) and then moved into a three day technical program running from Magnesium Monday through Titanium Tuesday and on to Aluminium Wednesday.  The conference covered the latest information on alloy development, processing, modeling, and applications of aluminum, titanium and magnesium alloys.

The next in the conference in the LMT series will be hosted by GKSS in Germany in 2011.  Possibly in Hamburg.
